The water and dustproofing were upgraded to IP68, at par with the iPhone XS line and the Galaxy Note 9. Other than that, the world's second largest smartphone maker also introduced the Mate 20 X, Porsche Design Mate 20 RS and Watch GT.
The standard Mate 20 is equipped with 6.53-inch Full HD+ RGBW display while the Mate 20 Pro comes with 6.39-inch 2K+ curved OLED display. It gets a primary 40-megapixel primary wide angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 20-megapixel ultra wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a third 8-megapixel 3X telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. And that's not all. On the front, there's a 24-megapixel sensor on the Mate 20 Pro alongside the components that enable 3D Face Unlock, 3D Live Emoji, and 3D object scanning.
There will also be the Porsche-branded Mate 20 RS that will have 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM and will land in late November, but the pricing and colour options are not available now. Interestingly, Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes with something called a nanoSD card, a new format from Huawei.
However a render appeared to show the headphones being charged while sitting on the Mate 20 Pro's rear panel. In simple terms, it essentially allows users to charge any device that supports wireless charging.
The phone runs Huawei's EMUI software, which is based on Android 9.0 "Pie". The phones come in Emerald Green, Midnight Blue, Classical Black, Pink Gold and Twilight colour options.
