Thanks in part to the release of exciting new models like the iPhone XS and XS Max during the third quarter, Apple is still growing its market share in the United States according to newly released data from Kantar Worldpanel.
Apple Inc's Asian supplier and assembler stocks fell on Tuesday on a media report that the iPhone maker had told its smartphone assemblers to halt plans for additional production lines dedicated to its new iPhone XR. Foxconn is the main supplier for iPhone 8 Plus, while on the other side Pegatron is behind the supply of iPhone 8. As a result, Foxconn will build 100,000 fewer units every single day than would have happened under Apple's original order.
Other smartphone manufacturers Samsung and LG also suffered. Apple began shipping the iPhone XR on October 26 after two weeks of pre orders. The company suggested it would miss analysts' earnings targets for the usually busy holiday season, with demand in emerging markets lower than expected.

The meal would give the two leaders more time to talk and create an atmosphere more conducive to negotiations, the sources said. Ten percent tariffs on $200 billion in imports that took effect in September are due to increase to 25 percent on January 1.
According to new data from electronics trade-in website BankMyCell, shared exclusively with PCMag, the average American would have to work 4.7 days to be able to afford the 64GB iPhone XR.
Apple also stoked worries about iPhone sales last week when it said that beginning this quarter, it will no longer break down unit sales for iPhones, iPads and Macs. The publication notes that Apple had previously planned 20 million units for the older iPhone models this quarter, but raised the figure to 25 million units.
We have heard some rumors that might explain why Apple has taken the decision to stop giving exact numbers for their device sales, and here they are. Apple's willingness to raise its prices across the board is a testament to just how strong a product the iPhone X was. Now its primary customer has advised it does not require more.
