Christian Eriksen came tip-toeing from the bench to snaffle a late victor for Tottenham against Inter Milan and thus keep his side's hopes alive of squeaking into the Champions League knockout phase.
And Merson says he hopes that Arsenal can come out of the game with a draw. Eriksen scored in the 80th minute to seal a 1-0 victory at Wembley Stadium that leaves Tottenham's fate in its own hands heading into the Group B finale at Barcelona.
"Barcelona are one of the best teams in Europe and they have unbelievable players", said Pochettino.
At last unlocking the stubborn Inter defence, a sweeping move featured Moussa Sissoko and Dele Alli exchanging passes before Eriksen was teed up for a cool finish from 10 yards out. The players deserve the credit, the performance was very good.
Spurs are third in the table, three points and two places above the Gunners, and both teams go into the contest in good form. "But probably it's the only mistake we made".
Lloris told RMC Sport: "We need to at least repeat the Inter result to reach the next round".
Trump says US very close to China trade deal
In an interview with Argentine daily La Nacion, the French president warned against the risk of "a destructive trade war for all". President Trump said recently that current tariff levels on $200bn (£157bn) of Chinese imports would rise as planned .
Tottenham must still beat Barcelona on December 11 at the Camp Nou to make sure of advancing to the knockout phase. "They're not going to have one day off until January".
"It hasn't occurred to me that players like Gerard Pique, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez could take their foot off the pedal or not care about losing at home". I don't even dare to have a shadow of a doubt. "But we have belief and faith that we can win", Pochettino said.
Inter boss Luciano Spalletti still expects they will advance if they beat PSV because Barca are so formidable at home.
"If we can win at Barcelona, we're going to go through to the next stage of the Champions League". But a campaign that was in peril is alive again for Tottenham, which has never lifted the European Cup. "It is about what we do", he said.
The Gunners are now on an 18-game unbeaten run under the stewardship of Unai Emery and have already sealed their progress to the next round of the Europa League.
