Arsenal manager Unai Emery is adamant that his side still has to improve if they want to finish in the top four this season, which would see them return to the Champions League for the first time in two years.
"That's a good example for us - maybe we cannot do the same, because it's very, very hard and they worked very well with [Jurgen] Klopp to get to this, but the difference between us and other teams now - Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea - we can reach the same level as them".
But Emery knows there is still work to be done - after all, Arsenal have not beaten any of their "Big 6" rivals in the Premier League since winning the North London derby more than a year ago.
In conference, Emery said that a number of players had recovered from injuries and trained, such as forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
The Spanish coach has been charged with guiding Arsenal back into the Champions League qualification spots after they finished in sixth place and without a trophy last term under Arsene Wenger.
"Whereas this season he's getting those run of games, the confidence is there, he's playing with assurance and actually believes now he can be a starting player in an Arsenal team".
