This doesn't, however, entirely match-up to the initial issue of many users completely losing their personal files when the update originally launched.
Windows 10 has long had a system-wide dark mode, but now, in what can only be seen as an attempt to buck the trend of what's currently popular, Microsoft had decided to make a new light theme. Unlike the 1803 April Update, which had the fastest rollout of any Windows 10 release, the 1809 rollout will start slowly and will only speed up once telemetry shows installations are healthy and not causing problems. Meanwhile, if you downloaded and installed the update and still have files in your Documents folder, you're one of the lucky ones who avoided this problem.
This is the second semi-release that has had bugs at the time of rollout.
