The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported 12 of the dead in Israel's retaliatory strike were members of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, which could increase tensions between Israel and Iran even further.

Israel subsequently retaliated against Syrian and Iranian positions in Syria. Iran has denied that any of its soldiers were killed, but recent statements don't suggest Teheran is backing down from the fight.
At this point, the recent developments along with the USA decision brings about the question of whether Israel may become more aggressive and envisage going into an all-out-war with Iran in Syria.
