The Ministry of External Affairs, on Wednesday, summoned the Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner Syed Haider Shah where India lodged a strong protest at the unprovoked act of aggression by Pakistan, including violation of the Indian air space by Pakistan Air Force and targeting of Indian military posts.
The latest wave of tensions between Pakistan and India first erupted after Jaish-e-Mohammad claimed responsibility for the February 14 suicide bombing of a convoy of India's paramilitary forces in the Indian portion of Kashmir that killed 40 Indian troops.
"Both countries can not afford miscalculation because of the weapons we have. Though he was declared presumed dead by the government for administrative purposes, our hope never died and we still believe that he might be alive somewhere in Pakistan", says Gill who still remembers the youthful, handsome face of his brother. "A war between two nuclear-armed states can only bring destruction on both sides". He said one Pakistani aircraft was shot down, something Pakistan denied.
Pakistan stated that its aircraft attacked targets across the LoC, but stayed in Pakistani airspace.
He said, "Pakistan's armed forces have capability, will, resolve and nation's support".
India has alleged that Pakistan refuses to crack down on the militant organization and therefore bears responsibility for the attack.
Islamabad's announcement of the shootdown coincides with India's claim that its fighter jets had intercepted three Pakistani fighter jets that flew into the airspace over its territory in Kashmir and turned them away.
Former US security officials to oppose emergency declaration
The president reminded them that their voters supported the idea of more physical barriers at the Southern border. This statement will be the latest ideological opposition against the president's emergency declaration.
India confirmed that Pakistan downed one of its fighter jets MiG-21 and the pilot had gone missing, which Pakistan claimed that he was in its custody.

All flights from Kabul to India have been canceled until further notice while India's state-run carrier Air India has canceled its flights until the first week of March, an airline official in Kabul said. Abhinandan Varthaman was captured by the Pakistan Army after his MiG-21 crashed.
The latest civilian casualties came a day after tensions escalated sharply following a pre-dawn air strike by India that New Delhi said targeted a terrorist training camp.
It urged India and Pakistan to act in a manner that "ensures the security, peace and stability of the entire region".
"India does not wish to see further escalation of the situation", she said, speaking from a meeting with Russian and Chinese foreign ministers in China.
The entire series of incidents began earlier this month after a total of 40 CRPF jawans were killed in a deadly terrorist attack in Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir on Feburary 14 after a "fidayeen" (suicide) attacker belonging to the Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) terror outfit rammed an explosives-laden SUV into the CRPF troopers' bus.
