On Sunday, Poland also summoned the Israeli ambassador over the issue.

Unperturbed by Morawiecki's decision not to participate, Katz initially answered casually, saying that "there is no crisis, " as the "foreign minister will attend".
The Israeli prime minister replied: "Poles collaborated with the Nazis and I don't know anyone who was ever sued for such a statement".
Warsaw dismissed the Israeli government's claim that Israeli newspapers had misquoted Netanyahu and that he had not meant to implicate all Poles.

Warsaw and Jerusalem had a major spat past year over a new Polish law that makes it illegal to blame the Polish nation for collaboration in the Holocaust. However, Holocaust researchers have collected ample evidence of Polish villagers who murdered Jews fleeing the Nazis, or Polish blackmailers who preyed on helpless Jews for financial gain.
Government officials said Katz, who will remain intelligence minister and also serves as transport minister, will hold the foreign affairs portfolio through the upcoming parliamentary election on 9 April.
