According to terms of the original INF agreement, Moscow and Washington are obligated to six months of negotiations over differences, which, if unresolved, constitute full withdrawal from the treaty.
President Vladimir Putin says Russian Federation will deploy a new hypersonic missile for its navy as part of an ongoing plan to modernize its military capabilities and efforts to counter what he described as hostile USA moves.
The threat, which appears to describe Washington and other European capitals, came after the United States and then Russian Federation suspended compliance with the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces treaty.
Intermediate-range weapons were seen as especially risky because they reach their targets much faster than long-range missiles.
Earlier today, Vladimir Putin gave his state-of-the-nation address in the capital of Moscow, of which the Russian President made headlines for what's being perceived as a threat towards the United States.
"They will only take 10-12 minutes to reach Moscow", he said.
Putin did, however, confirm that Russian Federation is actively working on developing a hypersonic cruise missile called the Tsirkon, which will be able to fly at Mach 9 and can target naval or land targets within 620 miles.
Putin said the USA accusations were "unfounded" and were used to "justify (America's) withdrawal from the treaty".
Tyson Fury Signs Exclusive Deal With ESPN, Casting Shade On Wilder Rematch
Fury essentially came back from a deep depression to become a solid wild card in the heavyweight division's plans. Now, the idea of him even facing Joshua, who fights on the USA streaming app DAZN, has become more hard to make.
He added: "Russia will be forced to create and deploy types of weapons that can be used not only in respect of those territories from which the direct threat to us originates, but also in respect of those territories where the centres of decision-making are located".
"These weapons, by their tactical and technical specifications, including their flight time to the command centres I'm talking about, will fully correspond to the threats that will be directed against Russian Federation". "Within this year [Russians] should feel changes for the better".
Netanyahu and Putin, who have spoken by phone several times since the incident, met in Paris in November on the sidelines of World War I commemorations.
Putin said numerous weapons he displayed previous year will soon come into service, including a hypersonic glider launched from missiles that could carry nuclear weapons and evade USA missile defences, a laser cannon and an underwater drone called Poseidon. "In the spring of this year the first nuclear powered submarine armed with this unmanned vehicle will be launched".
The Russian Defence Ministry has released a video showing a test of a new nuclear-powered underwater drone.
Seven new submarines and five new long-range warships will be launched, and 16 more such ships will be constructed by 2027, he added.
