In matter-of-fact testimony, the former Trump lawyer drew a troubling picture of his former boss, saying the president lied to the American public on matters big and small.
Cohen also asserted that federal prosecutors in NY are investigating other possible illegal activities involving the president. But Cohen declined to say more because he says the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of NY is investigating the matter.
Cohen also said some things in Trump's favor.
Cohen was arrested in December for crimes involving campaign finance and lying to Congress. Current Justice Department policy says a sitting President can't be indicted.

But as the country awaits special counsel Robert Mueller's report on possible collusion between Trump's 2016 campaign and Russian Federation, even Cohen's failings highlight the dangers confronting the President. But he does have "suspicions" about it.

"Good luck on your road to redemption", said Rep. Mark DeSaulnier, D-Calif., at one point. He said he once had a "wonderful life" and now has "lost it all".
He then expressed regret that he played a role in the destruction of civility in American life. "I blindly followed his demands", Cohen told the panel. They also described Cohen as someone who is angry because he did not get a White House job he allegedly coveted and is interested in the millions of dollars he could collect from book, movie and television deals.
Federal prosecutors in NY have said Trump directed Cohen to arrange payments to buy the silence of porn actress Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal in the run-up to the 2016 campaign. They took pains to condemn Cohen for his false statement to Congress, acknowledging the considerable baggage he brought as a witness.
The White House and many Republicans have cast Cohen, 52, as an opportunistic liar.
Cohen spoke about an incident when Mr Trump's son, Donald Jr, walked behind his father's desk and told him in a low voice: "The meeting is all set".
