World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua weighed in more than 20 pounds lighter than challenger Andy Ruiz Jr. on Friday as he prepares to make his U.S. debut at Madison Square Garden.
Anthony Joshua lost his WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight titles to Andy Ruiz on Saturday.
There will be an automatic rematch, in November or December, but Joshua's air of invincibility is gone, along with his hopes of winning the undisputed title.
The rematch will be the true test of Joshua who will be aware that Ruiz will only come fitter and with even more confidence second time around.
Ruiz took the fight...
It was an incredible upset, one that spawned very different reactions from fellow heavyweights Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
Anthony Joshua is the latest victim of the Drake Curse.
"Nobody would've known that I was gonna win".

Now back at No3, the Swiss star is heading towards his 38th birthday, and played for the first time at Roland Garros 20 years ago. A strong showing in the first two rounds at the French Open is indicative of the form he is in coming into the match.
After being dropped for the fourth and final time, Joshua was showered with boos in a cacophony of England's regional accents. "And I just got beat by a good fighter tonight", he said.
Joshua was expected to make light work of his opponent on his U.S. debut at Madison Square Garden as he defended his three world heavweight titles.
But now the 6-foot-2, flabby 268-pound Ruiz, who looks anything like a fighter, has a claim on boxing's biggest prize as he dethroned it's biggest star this side of Canelo Alvarez. "I am so happy", said Ruiz.
Four knockdowns later, he was an ex-champion and another in a long line of failed British heavyweights, a line only temporarily interrupted by the reign of Lennox Lewis. "I'm still young, 29, I've never been hurt and I've never been in a big war", he said.
The champion also can't seem to keep his focus on Ruiz (32-1, 21 KOs).
Joshua's decision to even fight in NY seemed like a victory in itself.
Boxing fans around the world were stunned by what they saw from Ruiz Jr on Sunday afternoon.
