"Thankfully, she agreed, and we built the story around that", Cameron said.
Terminator: Dark Fate is set for release in the United Kingdom on October 23 with the U.S. release following a week after on November 1. And if you thought that was a long, run-on sentence, get ready because Terminator 2: Judgement Day blew up the premise of the first movie by jacking up Linda Hamilton into an action hero, bringing back Schwarznegger as a heroic robot sent to protect the young Connor (Furlong), and introduced a liquid metal Terminator even deadlier than the first one.
"The hard work I did was the deep exploration of a woman who's an outsider whose life hasn't worked out. I had to go to my deepest sorrows and my places of deepest loss, and that's what makes Sarah Connor, Sarah Connor". Honestly, I'd bet he isn't in the movie for more than the beginning, or the importance of the little girl fades.
European Union fines Qualcomm $272M for 'predatory' pricing
Two years ago, it was told to pay back taxes of about 250 million euros to Luxembourg because of illegal tax benefits. Aside from Amazon, there may be another company that will be slapped with fines from the bloc: Qualcomm Inc.
The other major bit of news is that Dark Fate will be rated "R".
"When they start to kill me, run" says Davis's blonde haired character Grace. "Me coming back to the franchise nearly three decades later.[we're] coming up with insane new stuff you've never seen before. One thing we kept circling around, 'Do we want to bring Sarah back?"
The panel wrapped up with new footage, starting with a freeway chase that's mostly a highway chase, Terminator-on-Terminator battle with Davis and Luna's characters battling with pipes, tools, whatever they can find on the road. There was a shockingly good TV series starring Lena Headey as Sarah Connor (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles); but otherwise, each subsequent entry in the cinematic side of things has gotten more convoluted and reaped smaller benefits. He asks Sarah: "Why don't you just let me have her?" And that gives us the opportunity for these new characters. We also learn he's got a new name now: Carl. She responds: "Because I was her, and it sucks. At least, not without LInda Hamilton and this is her movie". Are you glad that Dark Fate has an "R" rating? We caught a glimpse of a gunfight underwater. Arnie stands on the chest of the Terminator and shoots a machine gun repeatedly in his face, blasting off his skin and revealing the Terminator underneath. "Sarah's living with the consequences of that decision, and we see how it rolls out 20-some years later", he said.
