The upcoming event will be held in New York City on October 2 according to some invites received by news sites as seen from The Verge and Engadget. That's exactly one year after the company's last Surface event, at which it updated its line of Surface PCs and launched its first high-end noise-canceling headphones.

Instead, she's hearing about other new Surface devices, including a Qualcomm 8cx-based Surface ARM device with built-in LTE.

Since it launched Surface, Microsoft has devoted time to both market groups. The newer Surface Pro is expected to be launched with an NVIDIA RTX graphics card sporting the Turing architecture.
Prior to this announcement, we can also expect Microsoft to announce Windows Lite, a stripped-down version of regular Windows OS designed for lite computing and dual-screen devices. It will also be able to run Android applications, though.
