Mr Giuliani said Mr Parnas' firm, Boca Raton-based Fraud Guarantee, whose website says it aims to help clients "reduce and mitigate fraud", engaged management and security consulting firm Giuliani Partners around August past year.
The former mayor also admitted Monday to Reuters that he had been paid $500,000 for work he did for "Fraud Guarantee", a Boca Raton-based company founded by Parnas.
The next court date for Correia and Kukushkin was set for December 2, though U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken granted a request from Kukushkin to remain in California, where a $1 million bail package limits where he can go beyond home to work, legal visits and medical appointments.
Correia's arrest comes a week after Igor Fruman and Lev Parnas, who allegedly helped Giuliani in his efforts to dig up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, in Ukraine, were arrested at Dulles International Airport outside Washington as they tried to board a plane to Frankfurt, Germany, on one-way tickets.
Parnas, Fruman and Kukushkin were arrested last week when the charges were announced. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Rebekah Donaleski and Nicolas Roos represented the government at the hearing.
Fruman and Parnas asked a USA congressman, who is not named in the indictment but appears to be former Texas Rep. Pete Sessions, to help get the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine fired at the same time that they were committing to raise tens of thousands of dollars for that congressman's reelection effort, according to the indictment.

All smiles as Britain's William and Kate meet Pakistan PM Khan
Britain's Prince William and Duchess Kate traveled neary 5,000 miles in October 2019 to launch a five-day royal tour of Pakistan. As William and Kate visit with organizations and people in Pakistan, they will be trailed by a very heavy security presence.
In recent days a federal grand jury in the Southern District of NY sent a subpoena to Sessions for documents and records.
A longtime West Palm Beach, Florida resident, Correia also has a link to Global Energy Producers - the firm that, according to the indictment, Parnas falsely said was the origin of a $325,000 contribution to a pro-Trump Super PAC.
Businessman David Correia appears to pose with President Donald Trump in an undated screen capture from Correia's social media account.
David Correia and Andrey Kukushkin are expected to make a federal court appearance Thursday afternoon in Manhattan. They will be transferred to NY for Thursday's arraignment.
The investigators in the Southern District of NY appear to have largely operated separately from what Trump's appointees at the Justice Department headquarters in Washington, DC, have pursued in recent months, and the investigation dates back far longer than what's been previously reported.
The judge set $1 million bond or $100,000 cash for Kukushkin, who posted the cash alternative.
David Correia, 44, denied allegations that he and three associates took hundreds of thousands of dollars from a foreign investor with "Russian roots" and doled it out to state and federal candidates and political committees.
Next court date for Correia and Kukushkin has been set for December 2.
