Newsweek has contact Kansas City Police for comment.
Police believe the suspect is one of those found dead. One woman died and police believe an armed security guard at the scene killed the suspected gunman.
Police then received reports of more and more victims arriving at area hospitals. It's not clear if all of the injured suffered gunshot wounds.
A motive was unknown as of Monday morning.
Reports suggest the suspect began firing at a line of people outside the 9ine Ultra Lounge.
Police taped off the parking lot of the bar, the 9ine Ultra Lounge.
The AP quoted Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker as saying at the scene, "It just put such a tragic end to such a wonderful day in Kansas City", referencing the Chiefs game.

The new cases suggest that the illness, which has killed two people and sickened at least 62 in China , is continuing to spread. If the reported infections are confirmed, they would be the first cases of the disease in the mainland outside Wuhan .
"While so much of our other crime is trending downward, shootings and homicides remain a persistent issue in our city", Smith said in a blog post. "I have scores, really, that are in the hospital right now having their wounds mended".
Hours before the shooting, the Kansas City Chiefs won a spot in the February 2 Super Bowl with a 35-24 victory at home over the Tennessee Titans, earning the team its first return to the league championship game in 50 years.
"If we don't keep fighting, if we don't think we can make some sort of change, we will see moments like this time and time again, even on days that should be euphoric here in Kansas City", Lucas said.

The scene was near U.S. Highway 40.

Police were working to notify the next of kin of the dead.
