The New South Wales state Health Minister Brad Hazzard said that the passengers have provided the cruise with their e-mails and phone numbers and every effort is being made by the authorities to contact them.
The increase comes as the NSW government discovered four cases of cruise ships disembarking in Sydney having had infected passengers on board.
Australia on Friday requested the passengers who traveled in a cruise ship which is docked in Sydney to self-isolate or quarantine after four people who were in the ship tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, March 19.
'Nine people who showed potential COVID-19 symptoms were isolated, tested for COVID-19, and these tests were negative'.
It has been repeatedly rejected at ports around the world. Passengers disembarked on the 18th.
Relatives of those on board the Norwegian Jewel have told nine.com.au their family members are running short of vital medications. If passengers were symptomatic in any way, they will remain in federal care and will not be returning to Colorado at this time, statement said.
It is unclear how numerous passengers on board have been contacted yet, but Brad Hazzard has urged the public to contact friends and family who were on the ship to inform them of the news as quickly as possible.
NSW Health has identified a 67-year-old man who travelled from Canada before boarding a week-long cruise from Sydney on March 11 to March 18 as being diagnosed with coronavirus.

As of Friday, New Zealand has 39 cases of coronavirus. They said they hoped to resumer operations on April 11.
