Harris, 40, was found unresponsive in her vehicle when police arrived at her residence at approximately 9:30 p.m. PT Monday night.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has confirmed an active investigation into Harris's death, reported The Athletic. Floyd was convicted of home violence and served two months behind bars following his conviction of a 2010 assault towards Josie. Yes, I did. If they say that's domestic violence, then you know what? Mayweather said in an interview years later that he was guilty of restraining "a woman that was on drugs". She alleged that Mayweather pulled her by the hair and attacked her in front of their children. In 2015, Josie Harris even went on to sue Floyd Mayweather for defamation.
"(Dana White) and I working together again to bring the world another spectacular event in 2020", Mayweather wrote on an instagram post previous year. "I'm guilty of restraining a person".
The oldest son, Koraun, managed to escape the house and tell a security guard which then called the police. "She said she loved him (Mayweather) and she loved the children".

Harris claimed that she was abused by Mayweather on six different occasions.
Harris' interactions with Mayweather became few and far between after his conviction, though she still felt nervous whenever the boxer came to collect their children.
However, she also admitted that she felt embarrassed saying she was a "battered woman". According to many, Floyd Mayweather has nothing to with Josie Harris' death as the boxer was in Amsterdam on Tuesday. "I didn't understand what a battered woman was at that time", Harris told USA Today in an interview.
"For some reason I still get anxiety when I know that he is on his way". The case was set to go to trial on December 7, 2020.
