Convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for COVID-19, according to reports. Deadline described its source as an "Empire State law enforcement official" while noting that the Department of Corrections - officially - "cannot comment on an individual's medical record".
Representatives for Weinstein told the Post they did not have information about his condition.
Weinstein celebrated his 68th birthday behind bars on Thursday after he was transported to the maximum-security prison following a spell at New York's Bellevue Hospital and then the medical unit at Rikers Island prison, NY with heart issues.
A lawyer for Weinstein said on Sunday night that his legal team had not been notified of the coronavirus diagnosis.

In a statement, the state's Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) confirmed to WKBW that two inmates at the facility tested positive for the virus. "I can't tell you what I don't know".
Weinstein is guilty of sexually assaulting former production assistant Miriam Haley in 2006 and raping former actor Jessica Mann in 2013.
More than 100 women, have accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct stretching back decades. Weinstein had been in and out of the hospital leading up to trial and between conviction and sentencing.
Weinstein was remanded to Riker's Island on February 24 for the 16-day waiting period before his official sentencing hearing, but he found himself at Bellevue Hospital over concerns of high blood pressure and heart palpitations.
