Former Vice President Joe Biden on Friday denied an allegation of sexual assault from Tara Reade, a former staffer who served in Biden's Washington Senate office for a brief period in 1993. Trump has been accused by more than a dozen women of sexual assault and misconduct over the years, allegations he and his aides have denied. "They aren't true. This never happened", Biden said of the allegations.
Biden released a statement prior to his appearance on the show, saying that would be requesting that the Secretary of the Senate to "ask the Archives to identify any record of the complaint [Reade] alleges she filed & make available to the press any such document". "People need to hear the truth". As conservatives keep hammering the partisan double standards in the media's coverage of sexual-assault accusations - a wholly legitimate grievance - they should not forget that Biden has long championed stripping the due-process rights of college students accused of sexual misconduct.
Reade told Fox News about numerous instances, particularly in major meetings, where Biden would "put his hands on my shoulders usually from behind, and put his fingers underneath my hair, on my neck". The presidential hopeful admitted that the rules of social distancing and personal boundaries have changed over his lifetime, but has not apologised for his behaviour. She says Biden cornered her, reached under her skirt and sexually assaulted her.
Trump, 73, a Republican who will face Biden in the November 3 general election, has been accused by more than a dozen women of sexual assault and misconduct over the years, allegations which he and his aides have consistently denied.

Ms Reade made a criminal complaint to police last month. I don't know what is motivating her. Yet associates of Reade have come forward to say they recall her telling them about such an incident.
Reade was one of eight women who a year ago said Biden had touched her in ways that made her uncomfortable, but she did not make the more serious charge against Biden until a podcast interview in March. It's a very challenging thing to run for president, and I think everyone who's done that has realized that their entire life is opened up to scrutiny. Why shouldn't we "start off with the presumption that at least the essence of what she's talking about is real"?
Some prominent Democratic women have stepped forward to defend Biden.
Biden said, "There is only one place a complaint of this kind could be - the National Archives".

"I remember him saying, first, as he was doing it 'Do you want to go somewhere else?' and then him saying to me, when I pulled away. he said 'Come on man, I heard you liked me, '" she told podcast host Katie Halper in March. Others worry that it could be used against Biden, much as Hillary Clinton's private email server and the activities of the Clinton Foundation were wielded against her by Trump. The Times said its report, however, made no conclusion as to the credibility of the charge.
