The health expert who's become the public face of the USA response to the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Anthony Fauci, is preparing to begin what he describes as a "modified" self-quarantine after potentially coming into contact with the novel coronavirus.
Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, will appear alongside Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, FDA Commissioner Dr. Stephen Hahn and Dr. Brett Giroir, assistant secretary for health at the Department of Health and Human Services.
Dr. Anthony Fauci is the Director of the National Institute Of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Trump addressed a Rose Garden audience filled with mask-wearing administration officials, some appearing publicly with face coverings for the first time during the outbreak, after two aides tested positive for COVID-19 late last week.

It is not clear who tested positive for coronavirus and came into contact with Fauci, Redfield and Hahn. The White House had no immediate comment on whether Stephen had been tested or if he was still working in the White House.

Fauci, who is a public health expert on the task force, was "considered to be at relatively low risk based on the degree of his exposure" and will follow a "modified" quarantine for the next two weeks.
The president and vice president, along with those in their close circles, were being tested daily for coronavirus, an administration official has told Fox News. "Nevertheless he is taking appropriate precautions to mitigate risk to any of his personal contacts while still allowing him to carry out his responsibilities in this public health crisis". Also, he has not shown any virus symptoms yet.
Miller tweeted that night: "Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes". If he is called to the White House or Capitol Hill, Fauci plans to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Redfield and Hahn will quarantine for two weeks after exposure to a person who tested positive, FDA and CDC statements to USA media said.
However, Katie Miller, the press secretary to Vice President Mike Pence, tested positive on Friday. One of President Donald Trump's valets also tested positive for the disease this week. It included "maintaining maximum telework for staff, reporting travel, and monitoring one's own symptoms", CNN reports.
