Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is scheduled to release in the first quarter of 2021.
During IGN's Summer of Games livestream, Sega announced Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX, a remake/remaster of the original 1986 Sega Master System game. A recent tweet from Merge Games notes that it will launch on "Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox, and PlayStation".
You will be able to experience every level from the original game as well as brand new levels that have been created to expand the lore of Alex Kidd.
For good measure, at any given moment you can activate Retro Mode, which lets you play the game with its original graphics. It's being developed by Merge Games and Jankenteam and is set to feature new levels, modes, and alternative boss battles.

The developers have promised that the updated "DX" version will have tweaked combat, movement, and even boss fights.
Classic Mode - Experience the original game with boss fights, dialogue, levels and functions the same as the original Master System version. The remake work also includes the music, which will include both new tracks on remastered songs from the original.
