So if you, like me, are on the outside looking in but you already have a Switch and a pair of Joy-Cons (sorry Switch Lite owners), then at least you can try the company's newest game: Jump Rope Challenge.
Nintendo says the game was "created by a few Nintendo developers while working from home in Japan to add quick and fun physical movement into their daily life", which is very, very cool. A friend can join in on the fun with another Joy-Con controller as you strive for a high score. Jump rope challenge appeared out of nowhere on the Nintendo eShop this morning my time and it appears to be available across the globe for nothing.
The game's short description boasts that you can use the Joy-Con to jump rope virtually while the on-screen counter increases with each successful hop. That said, you can still continue to go above the benchmark if you wish, and the game will continue to keep track of your progress.
The game also has some consideration for players with mobility concerns, or just downstairs neighbors who wouldn't appreciate all of that jumping.
We realize it is taking a shot at much-foreseen games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 and Metroid Prime 4, however those presently can't seem to get any release dates or release windows. He now resides in NY writing for BGR.
