Some 18,512 test samples are now waiting to be processed, meaning that more than 30,000 were added to the queue yesterday.
The case count increased slightly from Friday, when the province hit a milestone, tallying its lowest daily case total since March 28, with 182. This is the sixth day in a row with under 300 new cases.
There are now no active cases of COVID-19 in the Greater Sudbury and Manitoulin districts, following 62 resolutions and two deaths, of the 64 confirmed.
Continuing a trend of announcing fewer than three hundred new coronavirus cases per day this week, Ontario revealed 266 new cases Saturday. Resolved cases account for 10,831. Those being treated in intensive care units and with ventilators both decreased, as well.
Testing for COVID-19 in Ontario continues to remain high with 27,456 tests completed since yesterday, the third straight day in which more than 20,000 tests were conducted in the province.
