Nelson County added 8 new COVID-19 cases to its total Wednesday as reported by the Lincoln Trail District Health Department.
There are now more than 2,000 people currently hospitalized, according to public health department.
Positive case No. 87 is a symptomatic female in her 30s with unknown exposure and recovered at home.
Allegheny County reported 230 new coronavirus cases Wednesday and Philadelphia County reported 90 coronavirus cases Wednesday, accounting for nearly 40% of the state's total new cases. The case numbers on the Iowa Department of Public Health COVID-19 website are updated throughout the day. Cherokee County has two locations offering testing - the County Health Department, at 877 Cedar Bluff Road in Centre, and Main Street Urgent Care, 1925 West Main Street in Centre. That's a rate that Los Angeles County hasn't seen since late-April.
