Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said on Monday that President Donald Trump was telling "bald-faced lies" about voting by mail to distract from his own failures, after Trump last week suggested it could be cause to delay the election.
The invoice, which was handed Sunday, now heads to Gov. Steve Sisolak, a Democrat. To make Trump's attack on Nevada even more confusing, the Trump campaign is urging voters in Pennsylvania, another battleground state, to get their ballots as soon as possible.
The plan drew criticism from Trump after making its way through the Legislature over the weekend.
Still, Monday's ruling also comes as President Donald Trump has begun laying the groundwork for casting doubt and suspicion on election results if counting mail-in ballots ultimately delays the declaration of a victor.
Pelosi said, "Well, I'm a former chair of the California Democratic Party, and I know the Republicans know how to do mail-in voting they would always prevail". He said a bit later that "there's fraudulent ballots", this time omitting the "I guess".
They added that they are sending the bill to Sisolak's desk.
Requests for absentee ballots for the upcoming August 11 primary election are running 10 times higher than for the primary election four years ago.
