As of midnight Monday 7th September, the HPSC has been notified of 307 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

COVID-19: India jumps Brazil as the second worst-hit country
With more than 90,600 new cases added to the official tally since Sunday, India has surpassed Brazil in the coronavirus metric. On the global front, India now rallies behind the United States which has recorded 6,275,614 cases and 188,932 deaths so far.
The death toll from the coronavirus in the state now stands at 1,778 people.
The new cases on Tuesday were a man and a woman in their 40s, a man in his 50s, and a man in his 70s. Washington County had 26 new cases. No new hospitalizations or deaths were reported over the past week, according to the DPH. A total of 1,778 people have died. "Now is not a time to let down your guard - assume that you or those that you meet may be infectious and act accordingly", he said.
182 of Tuesday's cases are found in Dublin, while 25 are in Kildare, 19 in Limerick, 15 in Wexford, 15 in Louth, eight in Wicklow, six in Galway, six in Clare, six in Kilkenny and the remaining 25 cases located in Cavan, Cork, Donegal, Kerry, Longford, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath.
