His grudge went as far as hiring a lookalike "Fauxbama" and filming a freaky video in which he "ritualistically belittled the first black president and then fired him, Cohen said in the book". In the book, Cohen makes numerous damning allegations about his former employer.
In the advert, posted on YouTube in 2013 by Breitbart and resurfacing after Mr Cohen's book was announced, Mr Trump hosts a parody of his show The Apprentice. "They are all complete [expletive] toilets", Mr Trump once said, according to Cohen.
However, he strongly denied any connection between the incident and his endorsement of Trump. "There was no me supporting Trump because of whatever Michael was doing". "'Of course Donald Trump sent somebody, he's rich, right, who wouldn't send somebody if you wanted to prove your point?' Well, Donald Trump didn't do it because he didn't want to spend the money and he didn't believe it".
Mr Cohen believes Mr Trump would resign from office sometime during the 11 weeks between losing the election and Mr Biden's inauguration, hand over the reins to his vice president, Mike Pence, and have Mr Pence pardon him.
The overall aim of Cohen's book is to paint Trump as a master grifter who orchestrated a great deception upon the American people.
Mr Trump has heavily courted the evangelical vote and has said he is a deep believer himself.
Cohen said in a recording released past year by comedian Tom Arnold that the Falwells earlier sought aid in stopping "a bunch of photographs, personal photographs" from being posted online.

Mr Cohen is "a disgraced felon and disbarred lawyer, who lied to Congress", White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement regarding the accusations in Mr Cohen's book.
Tonally, Cohen alternates between taking accountability for his own behavior and trying to describe what he found so magnetic in Trump. He has since said he has received death threats from Trump supporters.
