And Washington is relatively fortunate it had most of the week to prepare for Utah compared to the 48 hours UCLA and California had to prepare for a last-second schedule change and matchup a couple of weeks ago.
The rivalary game between Washington and Washington State - originally scheduled for Friday night - was canceled on Sunday after the Cougars announced they couldn't meet the 53-man scholarship mark due to ongoing COVID-19 issues. Currently, that date is set aside for seeded cross-division games between teams not appearing in the Pac-12 title game on Dec 18.
Utah will travel to Seattle for a 7:30 p.m. game Saturday at Husky Stadium, the Pac-12 confirmed Tuesday night.
In between the cancellation of the Apple Cup on Sunday and UW finding a replacement game against Utah on Tuesday, the Huskies didn't know what team - if any - they'd be facing this week.

In Charlotte, a wealthy Montreal Harrell would have enjoyed a bigger role instead of supporting Anthony Davis with the Lakers . He was stashed overseas for that season, before being traded to the Grizzlies in the trade that brought his brother Pau to LA.
"We are continuing to take every precaution to safeguard the health and welfare of our student-athletes and staff, in accordance with the Pac-12 COVID-19 Medical Advisory Committee's procedures". And hopefully ESPN doesn't lose its cameras for this Utah game. UW has won seven consecutive games in the rivalry and leads the all-time series, 74-32-6. Rising was replaced by graduate student SC transfer Jake Bentley, who completed 16 of 28 passes for 171 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Their season opener against Cal on November 7 was canceled after the Golden Bears could not meet the 53-player scholarship threshold due to one positive COVID-19 test and subsequent contact tracing.
The Huskies, meanwhile, are 2-0 after toppling Arizona 44-27 at home last Saturday.
San Diego State was a possible nonconference opponent as well. The Pac-12 has not set games for December 19, the day after the Pac-12 championship game. And Utah has played just one game (last Saturday vs USC) due to COVID.
