Instead of acknowledging that he wouldn't be implementing vaccine distribution until after his state's review, Cuomo blamed Trump's unwillingness to give NY a vaccine on the fears of potential "political interference", citing polls that show Americans are losing trust in a vaccine, completely ignoring the fact that he helped promote this skepticism.
President Donald Trump announced Friday at a ceremony in the Rose Garden of the White House that a COVID-19 vaccine will soon be distributed to every state in the nation, across the United States - except the State of NY, because Governor Andrew Cuomo last week made a special point of publicly announcing on television talk shows that he doesn't trust it. "Surprise, surprise", Cuomo said.
"So the governor will let us know when he's ready", Trump volleyed at Cuomo, citing "some very bad editorials" about the governor's recent record handling the outbreak.
"A number of states, NY included, to build credibility, put together their own scientific review panels, ours is headed by a Nobel Prize laureate, who will review the FDA process so we can say it is safe you can take the vaccine".
"Governor Cuomo, will have to let us know when he's ready for it", stated the President.
In fact, Trump said the vaccine will only be delivered once NY gives the government authorization to do so, which Trump said "pains me".
"So we won't be delivering it to NY until we have authorization to do so. I'm going to protect the people of the state and New Yorkers don't back down to bullies".

Six governors from the Northeast are expected to meet this weekend to discuss plans to combat the coronavirus as cases surge across the nation.
CNN similarly claimed Trump made a "threat" to not send the vaccine to NY.
"Once there is a fully-developed COVID-19 vaccine, we are confident that a Biden-Harris Administration will provide NY with the proper number of doses so that our state's residents can achieve immunity", James said.
"[Cuomo] doesn't trust where the vaccines are coming from", Trump fired.
