"He's on Broncos practice squad as WR but he was a three-year starting QB at Wake Forest".

During games running back Royce Freeman has been named the emergency backup if needed.

He signed with Denver as an undrafted college free agent in the spring and spent all of training camp with the Broncos before being waived on September 5.

The Broncos were permitted by the National Football League to practice Thursday as contact tracing was performed, coach Vic Fangio told reporters. He finished his collegiate career completing 133 of 253 passes (52.6 percent) for 1,504 yards, with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. He made two starts in place of injured starter John Wolford, going 0-2 with losses to in and Florida State.

Trump Says DoJ, FBI May Have Been In On Large-scale Voter Fraud
Biden won the presidential election with 306 Electoral College votes - many more than the 270 required - to Trump's 232. Despite the election being called for Biden weeks ago, Trump is yet to concede.

On Saturday, fellow quarterbacks Drew Lock, Brett Rypien, and Blake Bortles were caught not wearing masks while at the team facility and were deemed high-risk close contacts, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The quarterbacks were pulled off the field and sent home to quarantine.

Fangio said Saturday morning before the developments at quarterback that there were no new COVID-19 cases and he reiterated that he had no worries about his other QBs getting sick because contract tracing had shown they hadn't been within 6 feet of Driskel before he tested positive. In two seasons, he's started 13 games and missed 14.

While Broncos tight end Noah Fant seemed apprehensive in a Twitter post about the team's situation, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and linebacker Von Miller took to social media to try to make light of it. "An honest mistake, but one I will own", Lock wrote in a statement. "Doing the right thing for a majority of the time is not good enough".
