A man suspected of assaulting actor Rick Moranis has been arrested and charged, according to police.
In October, Moranis, 67, was on a morning walk near his New York City apartment when an unidentified man sucker-punched him in the head. An attorney for Ventura was not immediately known.
Moranis, who recently returned to screen acting after a long hiatus, was assaulted in broad daylight.
Surveillance video shows a man wearing a black "I (heart) NY" sweatshirt and backpack knock Moranis to the ground in an unprovoked attack and flee on foot.
A month before the incident the Ghostbusters star appeared in a commercial for Ryan Reynolds' Mint Mobile phone service. A representative for Rick Moranis spoke on the incident after it went and said Moranis "is fine but grateful for everyone's thoughts and well wishes".
"The victim suffered from headache, back pain and hip pain and was traveling by private means to a nearby hospital for examination", NYPD spokeswoman Detective Sophia Mason told USA TODAY in an email.
Next, Moranis will reprise his iconic role in the upcoming Honey, I Shrunk the Kids sequel starring Josh Gad as his grown-up son.
"His most recent arrest - for allegedly randomly pummeling a straphanger in the West 4th Street subway station - had been just two weeks after the attack on Moranis", that report stated.
