Trial Management Associates (TMA), the same company that has been testing a vaccine for Moderna, was selected to test two new vaccines in production by other pharmaceutical companies.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said the government needs to vaccinate at least 60 to 70 percent of the country's 104 million population to achieve the so-called herd immunity in the population.

But he said the world had to ensure they were distributed fairly across the globe.

Galvez said they are also meeting with representatives of Johnson and Johnson, as well as Pfizer for their Covid-19 vaccine.

Speaking to CNN, the billionaire said "almost all" of the COVID-19 vaccines will work and be effective.

South Korea's drug safety agency has approved clinical trials of vaccine and treatment candidates now under development by two local drug manufacturers, industry officials said Tuesday.

'These studies have 30 to 60 thousand.

COVAX is the vaccines pillar of the WHO's ACT Accelerator - a collaborative initiative co-led by the World Health Organization which aims to accelerate development, production and equitable access to COVID-19 tests, treatments and vaccines.

All Lips Sealed: Who Will Biden Pick His Next Secretary of State?
Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, wrote on Twitter that Blinken would be a strong secretary of state. The Secretary of State is regarded as one of the most prestigious Cabinet posts.

Details of how Ford will use the freezers, which are expected to be delivered by year end, are still being worked out, she said.

The vaccine was 90% effective when taken as a half dose followed by a full dose one month later. He also said that the region should not worry over safety and effectiveness as the WHO COVAX mechanism requires vaccines purchased to be "overqualified" as an extra guarantee that they "are the best vaccines available".

At the same time, Recto aired hopes that "our supply deal with AstraZeneca will push through, as their vaccine matches our wallet [reportedly the cheapest at $10 per person] and our weather [can be stored at home refrigerators]".

Since AstraZeneca, Galvez said, is selling its vaccine through a non-profit model, it is now the cheapest, at only $5 per dose.

Pfizer's vaccine has an estimated of $19.50 per shot while Moderna will charge governments between $25 and $37 per dose depending on how many are orders.

"The support of governments, partners and the private sector will be paramount to transport vaccines for deadly diseases such as measles, diphtheria and tetanus, as well as for Covid-19, as efficiently as possible", Kadilli added.

In August, Ghebreyesus warned against vaccine nationalism as countries around the world secured early access to the most promising COVID-19 vaccine candidates, including those from the companies listed above.
