The series of posts included clips in which Hilaria, 36, appears to speak with a prominent Spanish accent, juxtaposed against clips in which she appears to have no noticeable accent. In yet another video, Baldwin admitted to being born in Boston but was still adamant that she "spent some of my childhood in Boston, some of my childhood in Spain".
She said: "Please stop sending me that stupid-ass thread".
Hilaria Baldwin, podcaster and wife of actor Alec Baldwin, has responded to claims she misled the public about her Spanish heritage.
"You have to admire Hilaria Baldwin's commitment to her decade long grift where she impersonates a Spanish person", Briscoe wrote, comparing the star to "used coasters with the rings on them and the stains on them".
"Ultimately this boils down to this idea where this is a country of a lot of different cultures and I think we can be different parts of ourselves with lots of different people", she stated.
A simple "I'm from Boston but we went to Spain a lot and I grew up in a bilingual household" would have explained a lot. Culturally, I grew up with two cultures.
"It's one of those things that I've been a little insecure about over different times, and when I try to work, I try to annunciate a little bit more, but if I get nervous or upset or something, then I start to mix the two". The Mail pointed out that "it has since emerged Hilaria, who was born Hillary Hayward-Thomas, attended $64,900-a-year The Cambridge School of Weston in MA".
Baldwin went on to clarify the controversy around her name.
Cumbria flood warnings update
Parts of the United Kingdom were already blanketed on Sunday despite Bella brining high winds and heavy rain overnight. A Met Office snow and ice warning is in force until Sunday 15:00 GMT, and again from 18:00 GMT until Monday morning.
"I think we can all be really clear that it's the same name, just a few letters difference", she said. The outlet noted that "after decades of living in Boston with their daughter, [Hilaria Baldwin's parents] retired to Mallorca in 2011 when Hilaria was 27 years old, thus making her on-again, off-again Spanish accent even more freaky".
On Sunday, Alec Baldwin, who has five children with Hilaria, also came to her defense by posting a almost nine-minute video to Instagram and calling the backlash "ridiculous".
"There's things that have been said lately about people that I love, that I care about deeply, which are ridiculous". She lived in Spain for many years as a child. She and her husband, David L. Thomas, Jr., also co-founded The Integrative Health Collaborative in Boston in 2007.
"You have to hack your way through the debris on Twitter", he said in the video.
Alec and Hilaria Baldwin married in 2012 and share five children.
Another social media user also unearthed a clip in which Baldwin appears on the #momtruths podcast and claims that she moved to the USA from Spain when she was 19 to go to New York University (NYU). "I went to Spain a couple of times and loved it too" with a cucumber emoji.
