Earlier today, CD Projekt RED issued an apology for the bad quality of the console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and offered refunds to any players unhappy with their purchase. Unfortunately, the general consensus seems to be that those delays weren't quite enough, with the game hitting shelves still a bit... undercooked.
A small update will be released within the next seven days, which probably corresponds to Patch 1.05. "We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One", CD Projekt said in a statement today.
CD Projekt Red issued a lengthy apology this week following several fan complaints about the highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077, including concerns surrounding bugs and last-gen console functionality. Despite the developer infamously stating that Cyberpunk 2077 runs "surprisingly well" on PS4 and Xbox One, this turned out to be quite inaccurate.
While the lack of a refund isn't ideal and arguably morally wrong, hopefully the game will actually be fixed come Feburary or sooner. Our own Cyberpunk 2077 review mentions the persistent bugs that still plague the game on PS5 through backward compatibility.

Cyberpunk 2077 has finally launched after a long wait. "Anyone who has purchased any title on the PlayStation Network or the Xbox Store can ask for a refund".
If the year 2020 has shown us anything about video games it's that games that have a LOT of hype on them and have been in development (and promised to release) for years aren't always going to live up to the expectations and hype. That offers up the idea that CD Projekt was simply ignorant of, at least, the scale of the issues in the last-gen version.
To address these issues, the developer said it will release updates "frequently whenever new improvements are ready". CD PROJKET RED advises players who bought the game digitally to use the Xbox or PSN refund system, while players who bought the game physically should first try to refund the game at the store they bought it from. However, they do claim the patches still make the game "closer to that experience than it is now". While reviewers were eventually sent the PC version shortly before review embargoes lifted, no console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 were sent out for review, meaning consumers were forced to go into their purchase blind.
