Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, Jermaine Fowler, Bella Murphy, Rotimi, KiKi Layne, Nomzamo Mbatha, and Teyana Taylor join them in the cast.
Thankfully, Murphy is reprising his role in the sequel, alongside OG co-stars James Earl Jones and Arsenio Hall, who played King Jaffe Joffer and Semmi respectively. The film finds Murphy returning as Akeem - though this time he's not a prince, but the king of Zamunda.
Coming 2 America is set to come out in March 2021 on Amazon Prime Video, which as Black Geeks of DragonCon so nicely put it, "This movie coming out in 2021 already proves that it will be a better year than 2020".
In the upcoming sequel, Prince Akeem, who is set to become the king of the fictional country of Zamunda, finds out he has a son he never knew about - a street-savvy Queens native, Lavelle.

At Woods' club, the Medalist, there was a time where golfers were not allowed to play with anyone but family members. Even so, the lives of the athletes and celebrities are cloaked in mysteries and secrets.
It is the follow-up to the 1988 comedy "Coming to America". Original Coming to America cast members Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos, and Louie Anderson are back along with Murphy as well. You can subscribe to Prime Video for $9 per month or opt for Amazon's general Prime membership, which includes a subscription to Prime Video, for $13 per month or $119 per year.
Watch the Coming 2 America trailer below. "It's a amusing fucking movie, and I'm proud that we hit all those bumps and checked all those boxes". It does everything you need it to do, and I think people will love the additions to it.
Check out the royal opulence of Zamunda in the first trailer below, and keep an eye out for Coming 2 America's arrival in early March. The film is penned by Barry W. Blaustein and David Sheffield, who wrote the first film - and the legendary Ruth E. Carter is behind those epic costumes.
