Previous year saw the announcement that ViacomCBS was preparing to re-brand and expand All Access as Paramount+, and now we know more about when to expect the streaming service to show up in different areas around the world.
"The Paramount name will lift expectations of entertainment, content range, and quality-and build interest in the service's originals", ViacomCBS said in September when the rebranding was first announced.
Keep in mind ViacomCBS also owns the free (ad-supported) Pluto TV streaming service as well as the Showtime network. Paramount+ is set to go live in the United States and Latin America on March 4.
ViacomCBS said it will hold an investor presentation on 24 February 2020 to elaborate on the company's plans for Paramount+, expanding its streaming strategy, and fourth-quarter and full-year financial results for 2020.

The wind continued to shift left throughout the race and American Magic, as the leading boat, was well positioned to capitalize. At first the wind dropped and the sea state improved to aid salvage efforts.
Now those series, and other genre hits like The Twilight Zone and The Stand, will be making the switch to the new brand, which hopes to unite the previously existing CBS All Access programming slate with an expanded roster under the Paramount+ name. Paramount+ will include all of CBS All Access' titles plus dedicated hubs for ViacomCBS' cable channels including Nickelodeon, MTV, BET, and Comedy Central.
Showtime OTT is the streaming version of the Showtime premium TV network, which mostly streams Showtime's original shows.
ViacomCBS said that CBS All Access and Showtime OTT closed out the third quarter with 17.9 million streaming subscribers combined, up 72% year over year and almost past the subscriber goal the company had set for the end of 2020. While the app attracted considerable attention for its acclaimed "Star Trek: Picard" series a year ago, it has not been considered a frontrunner in the streaming race. "With Paramount+, we're excited to establish one global streaming brand in the broad-pay segment that will draw on the sheer breadth and depth of the ViacomCBS portfolio to offer an extraordinary collection of content for everyone to enjoy". The service is now $5.99 for the ad-supported version and $9.99 for the ad-free version, but the company hasn't said if that will change with the relaunch. Virtual doors open at 4:00 p.m. (ET) with early tune in encouraged prior to the start of the event. CBS All Access in Canada will also be rebranded to Paramount+ on March 4.
