Farmer leader Balbeer Singh Rajewal said from Singhu that the committee was a method of "distracting" farmers from the protest. Venugopal and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta - why are they insisting on the implementation of the law.
"This is nothing more than political discrimination, an attempt to infringe on the First Amendment and we plan to fight vigorously".

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said the city is acting under a clause that allows termination of contracts in the event of criminal activity.
A press release states that the Carousel is now closed and termination will be effective 25 days after the City's termination notice is delivered, and the Wollman and Lasker Rink agreements will terminate 30 days after written notice is received.
The city will seek new vendors for all the attractions, the mayor said.
