In addition to the end of capacity limits at businesses, Cuomo said the limit on gatherings in private homes will increase to 50 people indoors on May 19, up from 10 now. "Over these next few weeks, I encourage all remaining eligible New Jerseyans to get vaccinated so we can continue fighting back against this virus and move toward a "new normal" for ourselves, our neighbors, and our loved ones".
Gov. Andrew Cuomo warned New Yorkers Monday that if they are are unvaccinated against COVID-19, they could kill their grandmas with a kiss.
Businesses will be allowed to welcome as many people as they want provided six feet of social distancing is maintained, as recommended by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It will also apply in houses of worship.
The outdoor social gathering limit increases to 500 people on May 10, up from 200.
The limit on outdoor gatherings at homes will end completely.
Other businesses that will no longer be subject to state-imposed capacity restrictions are amusement parks, salons and offices. "Thanks to the hard work of New Yorkers and our partners in government, we are now able to increase capacity limits for businesses, event venues and residences to reflect what we're seeing in the COVID data".

The European Union has mobilised its Emergency Response Coordination Center to provide oxygen and medicine to India . The government is also issuing orders to convert tankers that transport argon and nitrogen into ones for oxygen.
Cuomo mentioned that even though Broadway will be allowed to reopen on May 19, it doesn't mean shows will be taking place right away.
These limits now vary between 33 and 75 percent capacity.
He also reminded people that the outdoor food and beverage curfew will be lifted on May 17th, indoor curfew will be lifted on May 31st. Large-scale indoor venues can operate at 30 percent capacity starting May 19. It follows updated guidance released by the CDC last week, which said people do not need to wear masks outdoors where social distancing is possible.
For catered events where attendees have provided proof of vaccination status or a recent negative COVID-19 test result the curfew will be lifted May 17, the curfew for all catered events will be lifted May 31.
Speaking at his New York City office near Grand Central Terminal, Cuomo said cleaning the system is still important though "not as urgent as they said it was initially". New York City gyms and fitness centers will expand to 50 percent capacity beginning May 15.
