There are no new cases of Covid-19 in the community today, the Ministry of Health reported in a statement.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced extended mandatory mask restrictions on Tuesday, with all people in Greater Sydney, Wollongong and Shellharbour required to wear a face mask while indoors for an additional seven days.
NSW's official case tally for Tuesday was five cases, including two announced on Monday.
"We also need to recognise that this Delta variant... is actually a gold medallist when it comes to jumping from one person to another", Berejiklian told reporters in Sydney.
Of the seven cases detected overnight, six are household contacts of previously identified cases and have been isolating.
The seventh case was a student at St Charles Catholic Primary School in Waverley, in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
Other Australian states are implementing restrictions on visitors from NSW or banning visitors from exposure sites, after the "Bondi cluster" roses to 21 cases.
Crash that killed 10 in Alabama being blamed on storm
Tropical Depression Claudette brought torrential rain to much of northern Alabama, Louisiana and Georgia late on Saturday. Most of the damage was done in or near the towns of Brewton and East Brewton, about 48 miles north of Pensacola, Florida.
The third is a woman in her 20s from Sydney's eastern suburbs. "We did expect that household contacts [of existing cases] already in isolation were likely to get the virus".
Anyone who visited Bondi Junction Westfield, including the carpark, between June 12 and June 18 is being urged to get tested.
"This follows a decision by New South Wales public health officials last night to classify the entire Westfield Bondi Junction mall and its vehicle park as a location of interest, not just the particular shops earlier identified".
"Last night the Ministry of Health updated its advice for anyone in New Zealand who was at the Westfield Bondi Junction mall in Sydney last weekend".
"This decision follows a public health assessment today which determined that while the overall risk to public health in New Zealand now remains low, there are still several unknowns, including a case that was infectious while in the Sydney community and a primary school age child with no clear link established at present".
A further 11 are required to self-isolate until they return a negative day-five test.
"Unfortunately, a number of people who contracted the virus have done so in a very fleeting way, literally being within less than a metre of somebody but sharing the same airspace without any physical contact has still meant the virus has transferred", Ms Berejiklian said.
