This game was released by “Microsoft Game Studios” in 25th of September, 2007. It is a following series of other two successful games, Halo 2 and Halo 1. It is designed for Xbox 360. This game was developed by Bungie as an action game. It was very successful, even from its very first beginnings.
Only on the first week, Microsoft earned over $800 million from this game. One million people played this game on its first twenty hours. It was ranked as U.S.A’s best-selling game for 2007.

#2 – The Orange Box
This is a set of five different games of different genres. It contains: Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episodes One and Two, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. Some of them were already released before and some weren’t. As mentioned before, there are three different genres: Action, Compilation (strategy game) and puzzle. This set was released by EA (Electronic Arts) in three different versions; the first one is for PC, the second for Xbox 360 and the third for PlayStation 3.

#3 – Rock Band
The third game ranked by Time Magazine is “Rock Band” published by MTV games and distributed by EA Distribution. It was released in four different versions. The first one was for PlayStation 3 (20th of November, 2007), the second for Xbox 360 (20th of November, 2007 as well), the third one for PlayStation 2 (18th of December, 2007) and the fourth one was released lately for Wii (22th of June, 2008).
The Rock Band game allows playing up to 4 players. In this virtual game you can provide music for the public by leading a rock group in the guitar, bass, drums or in the microphone.

#4 – Super Mario Galaxy
The fourth successful game is “Super Mario Galaxy”. It is a following episode of Mario series. It was published by Nintendo in 1st of November, 2007. It can only be played in Wii platform, but other versions can be released in the near future. In this game, Mario goes to the numerous galaxies and collects Power Stars. Unlike classic Mario which is in 2D, this game is in 3D but in some cases 2D glitches may appear.

The fifth game is Bioshock, released by 2K Games. It was released in 21 of August, 2007 in two platforms; Windows and Xbox 360. But, in addition, in this year’s October, there is going to be a PlayStation 3 version released. In this game, the player controls Jack who fights with weapons and plasmids.

The new release from the Infinity Ward brings awesome action adventure with massive and modern war experience. You lead the elite military groups of the US Marines and British SAS Soldiers to fight the global rebel group.
You’ll have to display good communication, coordination, accuracy and speed during the various mission modes. There are plenty of nice twists and turns in the story as you complete each mission. Also available is the multiplayer mode where even more variations in the gameplay and configurations are made available. .

This series has always been a classic among fans and critics. If you are a fan of RPG games, then this is the one that you should check out. As always you play as the heroic character Link, and the mission is to rescue Princess Zelda, a straightforward story filled with adventure, riddles, gameplay challenges and missions to overcome.

In this edition of the flight pilot fighter game, the player battle foes across the airwaves and the ground. The gameplay is simple, addictive and yet diversified. You get to use missiles, tactical squads, bullets and other weapons on a large number of foes. Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation is probably the best edition of this arcade style combat flight game.

#10 – God of War 2
The 5th edition of the series continues with main character Kratos seeking vengeance in the story influenced by the Greek Mythology. Kratos wants revenge on Zeus to change his destiny and will be seeking out Titan Gaia and the Sisters of Fate to accomplish this goal.
The gameplay is a mixture of combat, puzzle solving and platforming. You have to fight enemies, decode riddles and travel to places to advance in the game. The series is one of the most successful among PlayStation video games franchises.
