The Sultanate of Oman and Kuwait announced that they would resume air traffic December 29 and January 1.
"An official source in the Ministry of Interior said: Extending the suspension of global flights and entering the Kingdom through land and seaports for another week", Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation stated in a tweet.
Foreigners will be allowed to depart the kingdom and cargo movement will be permitted, it added.
It was only on Dec 21 that the General Authority of Civil Aviation -Saudi Arabia had announced suspension of all worldwide flight services as part of necessary precautions to avert any possible spread of COVID 19; however, in view of existent situation, it has allowed foreign airlines to operate flights in the kingdom airports and carry on Saudi passengers outside the Kingdom.
