But a full-strength Indy game, with today's consoles, and a brand new Lucasfilm-approved story?
Bethesda announced the development of a new untitled Indiana Jones video game from their studio Machine Games, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. The game will feature an original story - not directly based on any particular film - but we'll have to wait "some time" for more details. It will be interesting to see what MachineGames can do with the Indiana Jones IP, but seeing as the developer has struck gold with the Wolfenstein series time and time again, we imagine that Indy's next adventure is in capable hands. However, there's some news that's just landed on our desk, complete with a treasure map that leads to a development that fans should get very excited about.
Speaking to Geoff Keighley last November, Todd Howard seemed to have the Ark and Idol from Indiana Jones & The Raiders of the Lost Ark propped up on his bookshelf behind him (as you can see in the tweet below).

Bethesda is best known as the developer of the Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, but they also act as a publisher for games made by studios under their umbrella - one of which is Machine Games, who scored a massive hit with their latest Wolfenstein games.
Seeing as Bethesda will soon be owned by Microsoft, there's a chance that the game could be an Xbox exclusive (timed or otherwise).
